I’ve worn a number of different hats in my life. Wearing an academic hat I’ve researched green roofs and the public perception of landscape, and the landscape ecology and genetics of southwestern toads. As a plant enthusiast, I’ve worked as a botanist, landscaper, and plant propagator, and been devoted to the plant based, educational mission of botanic gardens. As a teacher, I’ve co-taught courses in wildlife biology, dendrology, and horticulture. The consistent themes that runs through all of my work are conservation and exporation of the natural world.
Currently, I have a landscape design and installation business in upstate NY, Terrasana Gardens, with a focus on sustainable landscape design and landscapes inspired by nature.
